About Hengel Brothers, Inc.
Our Family Business
Joe and Jason Hengel are brothers and fourth generation plumbers in La Crosse, Wisconsin. When Jason was born, Grandpa Joe said, "Great, we don't have to change the name of the business!" Both Joe and Jason completed plumbing apprenticeships and are now project managers overseeing all operations of Hengel Brothers.

Our team of experienced plumbers offers a variety of commercial plumbing services, including installation, repair, and maintenance. We have experience in multi-family construction, hotels, fitness centers, childcare facilities, parking ramps, school renovations and additions, food processing facilities, municipal projects, and more.
Our Plumbers
All Hengel Brothers plumbers are members of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 434. Union plumbers are paid competitive wages and receive a substantial benefits package, including health insurance and pension contributions. To become a journeyman plumber, an individual must complete a five-year apprenticeship and then pass an exam. Apprentices are paid a percentage of what a journeyman's wage rate is based on their year in the apprenticeship program. Where We Work
We primarily bid work in the La Crosse area within an hour of the shop. We are actively working on jobs in Boscobel, La Crosse, Onalaska, Sparta, Tomah, Viroqua, West Salem, and Winona (MN).
